Revealed: 66% of polled Manchester City fans want to see Benjamin Mendy replaced

Following the news that Benjamin Mendy is set to be out for up to three months, a lot has been discussed in regards to the full-back and what he offers the Premier League champions.

Make no mistake, the France international is one of the best in his position in world football, but one of the biggest problems is that he seems to know that fact all too well.

His, not arrogance as such, but confidence that the likes of Fabian Delph and Oleksandr Zinchenko aren’t good enough to take his place has led him to be hugely unprofessional at times.

Pep Guardiola has often called the former Monaco man out for his poor punctuality, as Mendy has turned up seriously late for physio sessions to deal with his injury problems. Also, the World Cup winner has been guilty of improving his image on social media more than improving his fitness.
