Manchester City’s goal machine Sergio Aguero is planning to buy two flats overlooking the Etihad Stadium and turn the top floor of the apartment block into his new home, according to The Sun.

The 65-storey building is currently under development, but the Argentinean plans to purchase two rooftop apartments in Deansgate Square’s south tower and smash the flats into one mega pad.

Aguero’s ambitious plan is said to cost around £4million and would give the Cheshire-resident one of the highest properties in the UK once completed in 2021.

Deansgate Square is to be the fifth tallest building in the United Kingdom, and biggest outside of London, with the top floor overlooking Manchester City’s home, the Etihad Stadium.

A source close to the 89-cap international told The Sun: "Sergio fancies a sky-high apartment and this is the highest outside London."

Aguero, who has scored 12 goals in 17 games this season, has previously spoken of his love of life in Manchester.

The 30-year-old wrote in his book: "Manchester is very quiet and a calm place to live. You can go for a stroll or a walk without any problem.

"There’s a real difference between me living here and when I was in Madrid and particularly Argentina. The people in England are so polite and respectful and that’s something that really strikes me."
