Premier League – Cardiff City 3-2 Manchester City

Manuel Pellegrini was installed as Man City’s manager in the summer and great things were expected of the Chilean. His first game in charge was a convincing 4-0 win over Newcastle United, and many were certain that they’ll bag the points against newly promoted Cardiff City.

But a Fraizer Campbell double inspired the Welsh side to a 3-2 win against the title favourites, and many had their suspicions whether Pellegrini’s La-Liga tactics would translate to the English Premier League.

It was a quick wakeup call for the manager, and it seemed to come early enough that it didn’t take long before Manchester City became the most feared team in England.
