Striker set for Manchester City exit

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli looks set to leave Eastlands in January as AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain have declared an interest in the fiery Italian.

The 22-year-old striker was once again left out of Manchester City’s squad during the 5-0 romp over Aston Villa, fuelling rumours that he has already made the decision to leave the Premier League champions.

PSG and Milan are set to battle it out in January for the controversial striker with both clubs bringing different qualities to any potential deal.

The French club have a phenomenal amount of wealth which has already attracted the likes of Javier Pastore and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Balotelli could well be the next star added to their large wage bill when the January transfer window opens.

Milan on the other hand is Balotelli’s boyhood club and he was even seen in pictures wearing the team’s colours while playing for their fierce rivals, Inter Milan.

Mancini could be tempted to sell the player who he has had numerous run-ins with, but wouldn’t be willing to sell the player to another domestic rival, leaving these two teams as favourites to land his signature when the transfer window opens.

His attitude has often been seen as his downfall and it is this that has got in the way of his undoubted ability. In his 49 Premier League appearances he’s only managed 19 goals – a small return when you are behind the likes of Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and Edin Džeko.

First team football is what Balotelli needs to realise his own potential, but with Ibrahimovich and Ezequiel Lavezzi already fronting the PSG attack teh ideal resolution could well be a move back to home soil.
