The five things we learned from Man City 2-1 Arsenal

Manchester City hosted Arsenal on Sunday afternoon with their backs against the wall and the pressure on to find victory or else be cut adrift from the title race.

That pressure was only heightened when Theo Walcott slipped through in the first minutes and slotted home to give Wenger’s side the lead. From that point on Guardiola’s team dominated and finally found that ability to control a football game again.

They were excellent, especially in the second half, and two incisive finishes by Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling gave them a huge victory, closing the gap on Chelsea to 7 points.

While Chelsea still look imperious in that top spot, City at least showed they have a fighting spirit and the confidence to win games against the top opposition in the league.
