Three players that could still leave Man City as part of Guardiola’s revolution

Much has been made of Pep Guardiola since his arrival at Manchester City, with the Spanish manager keen to make an immediate impact at his new side.

Much of his work has been focused incoming transfers so far, with Pep reportedly keen to improve a Manchester City side that were, for the most part, relatively disappointing last season.

City have managed to bring in some top quality talent this summer, and that will definitely help them going forward; but where does it leave the players that weren’t regular fixtures in the first team last season?

Will the new signings turn back-up players into players that are surplus to requirements?

It seems inevitable that some of Manchester City’s stars will leave the club this summer, and with just a few weeks to go until the transfer window closes shut; Pep Guardiola will have a lot of thinking to do as he finalises his squad for the coming season.

With that, here are THREE players that could still¬†leave Man City as part of Pep Guardiola’s revolution…

Wilfried Bony

Bony

Wilfried Bony found his playing time under Manuel Pellegrini limited, and it seems that Pep Guardiola is willing to go one step further.

The Ivorian, whilst a good striker in his own right,  was and is never going to break out as a first team regular ahead of Sergio Aguero, and so he has never been able to become a regular starter since joining Manchester City.

ESPN are reporting that both Arsenal and Everton are keen on the move, and with Pep Guardiola interested in selling the player; this one could be wrapped up soon.

Samir Nasri

Nasri

Since Pep Guardiola came to City, Samir Nasri’s Manchester City future has looked like a foregone conclusion.

Guardiola criticised the French international for his pre-season fitness, and as a result was left out of part of the side’s pre-season preparations whilst he improved.

It seems that the relationship between the pair has shown no sign of improving, with the Daily Star reporting that Guardiola wants Nasri to leave the club this summer.

Not being in the good books with your boss is never a good thing; and Nasri’s departure looks inevitable.

Eliaquim Mangala

Mangala

Another player that has his future seemingly written out for him; Mangala looks set to be ditched as a City player this summer.

His time in England has been relatively disappointing, signing for nearly a record defensive fee and expected to do big things in the Premier League; he never really looked comfortable at the heart of the City defence.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen to instil stability into his back line; and Mangala doesn’t fit that mould.

According to Sky Sources, the club are reportedly keen to listen to offers for the young defender, with a sale the likely outcome.

It was a short trip to England for Mangala; and it definitely wasn’t a successful one.
