Transfer chief arrives in England to broker 41-cap striker deal with Man City

According to reports from Foto Mac, Galatasaray director of football Cenk Ergun has arrived in England to hold talks with Manchester City over the potential transfer of Wilfried Bony.

The Ivory Coast striker, who has represented his country on 41 occasions, signed for the Citizens during the 2015 January transfer window after bagging 26 goals in 56 Premier League appearances for Swansea City.

But the £25million acquisition has struggled to live up to his billing at the Etihad, going on to net just ten goals across all competitions and only six in the top flight.

Seemingly unwanted by fresh managerial appointment Pep Guardiola, the 27-year-old looks set to leave the Premier League title hopefuls before the summer window closes.

And it appears Galatasaray are keen on signing the African attacker, amid news their director of football Cenk Ergun arrived in Manchester yesterday evening.

However, it remains unknown how much the Turkish giants are prepared to spend on Bony, whose City contract doesn’t expire for another three years.
