Morgan Schneiderlin has revealed the lengths at which he went in order to complete his £25m move to Manchester United, according to reports in the Daily Express.
The French midfielder had been at Southampton for eight years before moving to Old Trafford earlier this summer, after working his way up the divisions with the South Coast club.
Now, the 25-year old has revealed just how eager was to complete his transfer to the Theatre of Dreams.
‘When the clubs reached an agreement, I was on pre-season with Southampton in Austria’, told the Frenchman, before adding he ‘left straight away, passed my medical at 4am and signed the papers the next day.’
Since making his move, the enforcer has started all four Premier League clashes, earning praise for both current and former United players.
Former captain Bryan Robson hailed the player, saying he ‘has stood out’ during his early Old Trafford career.
Current teammate Michael Carrick also waxed lyrical about the new man, describing him as ‘a very good player’.
