Felipe Anderson’s agent, Juliana Gomes, has revealed that her client is “honoured” by links with Manchester United.
The Lazio star has been heavily aligned with the Red Devils of late, with quotes attributed to the Rome giants’ president, Claudio Lotito, having indicated that a summer deal is in place.
The Serie A side are thought to value their man at around £39m after rebuffing an offer just shy of that sum over the winter, which is well within the Manchester heavyweights’ price range, even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Lazio have moved to rubbish the alleged words of Lotito, and now Anderson’s agent, and sister, Gomes, has revealed that there has been no official contact with the Premier League giants, but that it’s flattering to see her client linked with them:
“Lazio have already denied the report, and I know nothing. Felipe is still concentrated on being here.” She told cittaceleste.it.
“He works hard and his head is at Lazio. We are honoured to be linked with United, but they have never called.”
Anderson starred for Lazio last season as they finished third in Serie A – thus booking a spot in the Champions League’s qualifying rounds – but has endured a more difficult 2015/16 so far.
