Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj is being tracked by Paris Saint Germain after his agent confirmed that the Ligue 1 club have made contact, Metro reports.
The 19-year-old was one of the few standout performers under David Moyes last season, but the arrival of Louis van Gaal has coincided with a drop-off in his minutes
Januzaj has often been overlooked during the course of the campaign as he shares a similar role to that of record signing Angel di Maria, and with Wayne Rooney being dropped into midfield, competition for places is even higher.
His agent, Dirk De Vriese, revealed that PSG have sounded him out about a possible move for the out-of-favour winger, but also added that Van Gaal was keen on his stay.
He said: “PSG have shown themselves to be interested this winter. They directly contacted Manchester United for information.
“Louis van Gaal has announced that he could not go this winter. As he had said [for] about a month, Adnan is not allowed to leave on loan or on a permanent deal.
“The coach sees [Januzaj] as a major player in the squad. He is counting on everyone and it is a decision that looks pretty final. I do not think it can change, it was a pretty definitive speech.”
The Belgium international has only been given four Premier League starts so far and has been used as a substitute a further seven times – a huge dip from last season when he featured from the kick-off 15 times.
