Manchester United and Chelsea are set to go head to head for Dutch wonderkid Thomas Buitink, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
The 15-year old has scored over 100 goals in Eredivise outfit Vitesse’s various youth teams, and is a Dutch under-16 international.
The striking sensation is also rumoured to be on the radar of Manchester City after his excellent form in youth football.
His goal scoring exploits have seen him invited to train with the club’s first-team squad, which boasts a raft of stars currently on loan from Chelsea, under the partnership the Blues and the Dutch side share.
The likes of Nathan, Lewis Baker, Danilo Pantic, Isaiah Brown and Dominic Solanke are currently plying their trade in the Netherlands, on various loan deals.
Chelsea’s links with Vitesse could make them favourites to land the youngster’s signature, though Man Utd also have some strong links with the Oranje.
They are coached by Dutch legend Louis van Gaal, who led the national side to third place at last year’s World Cup in Brazil, and field the likes of Memphis Depay and Daley Blind in their first-team squad.
