Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea fans have all urged their clubs to sign Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan following the striker’s latest unsavoury incident.
Inter Milan’s Argentine ace has grabbed headlines this weekend, with his new book not going down well with the club’s ultras and leading to some astonishing scenes.
His remarks about Inter’s diehard fans – he threatened to invite Argentine criminals over to Milan to kill them – were understandably not well received by the supporters – who displayed a banner insulting the striker during the weekend’s match against Cagliari and cheered when he missed a penalty.
“How many of them are there? Fifty? A hundred? Two hundred? OK, record my message and let them hear it. I will bring 100 criminals from Argentina who will kill them on the spot.”
Remarkably, Mauro Icardi wears the captain’s armband for the Serie A side but the latest in a long-line of controversial incidents – which includes his affair with former team-mate Maxi Lopez’s wife, whom he later married – may just leave the writing on the wall for the player.
Still, fans of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal would take the player in a heartbeat despite all the baggage the South American brings with him…
Lets go and sign Icardi. Fans trying to kick him out
