According to Manchester United’s official website, U23s coach Warren Joyce expects more youngsters to leave the club on loan before the end of the summer transfer window.
Jose Mourinho has already made considerable changes to the club’s young contingent this summer, allowing Donald Love and Paddy McNair to leave for Sunderland on permanent transfers – closely followed by loan departure Adnan Januzaj.
And it appears the Portuguese is ready to let more leave Old Trafford before the summer window slams shut based on the latest comments from U23s coach Warren Joyce.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, he said; “I would imagine, over the coming weeks, a few more will leave on loan.
“They are ready for those steps and have got to be playing against men to show what they can do and push on from now. Once the window shuts, you know exactly what you’ve got and what your numbers are.”
Reacting to the interview, Manchester Evening News moot James Weir, Josh Harrop, Sean Goss and Joe Riley as the likeliest candidates to go out on loan from United’s U23s team.
But the regional newspaper further speculate that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, James Wilson and Will Keane – who have all been involved in the United first team previously – could also leave the club.
