Confirmed Man Utd XI to face Wolfsburg

Manchester United had a terrible night at the office in their first group game against PSV. Not only did they lose the game, but they lose Luke Shaw to a horrific leg break. It overshadowed the game to the point where United fans weren’t simply gutted at losing, they were just worried about their young left back.

But football is the Wild West, there’s no space for sentimentality or even for morality. Results are the cold hard currency. And in order to earn some real-world currency, you must progress in the Champions League. So tonight, as United face arguably their toughest opponents of the group stage, Louis van Gaal is desperate for a win.

They’ll have a tough test tonight, Wolfsburg are Bayern Munich’s nearest challengers for the Bundesliga title and have strengthened in the summer.

The big Manchester United news is Valencia at full back, no Carrick or Herrera, and Martial starts up front! Manchester United’s new talisman could shine tonight in the Champions League.
