Confirmed starting Xis: Newcastle United vs Manchester United

This week sees English football at it’s most chaotic, congested and arguably it’s finest.

Indeed, just two days after the end of the ever-dramatic third round of the FA Cup, the Premier League is back in action with a batch of predictably close-knit fixtures.

Tomorrow night, Swansea City take on Sunderland in a hotly-anticipated relegation clash, Everton will look to repeat their Capital One Cup heroics against Manchester City and Spurs and Leicester will meet again for the second time in four days.

But before all that, there’s tonight’s action to attend to first – with Manchester United’s clash with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park being the pick of the bunch.

Neither side shrouded themselves in glory during the FA Cup’s third round, the Red Devils struggling to beat third-tier outfit Sheffield United and the Magpies losing to Watford by a 1-0 scoreline.

So will we see some improvement from the Premier League duo tonight? Perhaps the official starting Xis, confirmed on Twitter just moments ago, can shed some light.
