Could this be the biggest fail at Man United since they signed Bebe?

Remember Bebe? The striker Sir Alex Ferguson signed for around £7million in 2010 having never watched him play. Allegedly.

The Portuguese forward went on to make just seven appearances in all competitions over four seasons for the Red Devils, scoring just twice. It’s fair to say it was on of the biggest fails at Man United in the modern era.

But have we just witnessed another one at Old Trafford. Man United fans were understandably annoyed when it was announced young striker had been sent out on loan to Championship high-flyers Brighton last month.

It was seen as a bit of a weird decision to make, mostly because United have been struggling for goals all season. So instead of trying something different and giving Wilson a run in the first team, Louis van Gaal opted to send him out on loan.

And while United struggled and failed to score at home to West Ham on Saturday, Wilson marked his debut for Brighton with a superb solo goal that will have had United fans absolutely fuming.

Have a watch of Wilson’s goal v. Charlton below. Will United live to regret this decision?
