After exploding onto the scene last season, Marcus Rashford has struggled to build upon his debut season in English football under the guidance of Jose Mourinho and has had to cope with being thrust into a wide position, due to the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
With raw power and speed, 19-year-old Rashford has all the makings of a superstar in the future and will be a key player for the Red Devils once again in a few seasons, likely when Ibrahimovic’s short stint at Old Trafford draws to a close.
Rashford’s ability is still clear for all to see though and Manchester United team-mate Matteo Darmian has stated the England international is the Premier League’s best young talent, when speaking to the league’s official channel.
“I think Marcus Rashford is the best young player. He’s strong, he’s powerful, he has all the characteristics that you need to become a top player.”
Having scored three Premier League goals this term and adding another to his tally in the League Cup, Rashford still has an eye for goal and will hope for further opportunities in the first-team next year when the Red Devils return to European action and also contend with their defence of the FA Cup.
