England Ladies progressed to the World Cup semi-final on Thursday and they did it in style.

The Lionesses demolished Norway three-nil in their quarter-final match and booked a ticket for the last four.

Of course, such a huge achievement attracted the interest of many of football's superstars around the globe, but especially those of English origin.

One of those who loved the ladies' feat was David Beckham, Manchester United legend, who attended the game with his daughter and after the glorious triumph, was quick to post an Instagram story of the whole journey they had shared that day.

Beckham thanked the England team for inspiring his daughter as well as the whole next generation of Lionesses, as women's football is generating tremendous pace, and deservingly so.

The main question posed now is whether they can ride this momentum and go all the way. England's next opponent will be by far the toughest yet as they have to face either France, the hosts, or the USA, widely seen as one of the best if not the best women's team out there.

One way or the other, the Women's World Cup is looking to have one fiery finish.
