England star determined to force transfer with Man City & Man United chasing

According to reports from Manchester Evening News, Manchester City and Manchester United transfer target John Stones is determined to force a move away from Everton during the summer window.

The Toffees have reportedly accepted the England international will leave Goodison Park this summer, but remain adamant that any potential suitor will have to meet their £45million valuation.

The 21-year-old is certainly in demand, with Manchester Evening News claiming Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United also targeting him for a summer transfer.

Jose Mourinho famously launched a series of bids for Stones last summer whilst in charge at Stamford Bridge and is set to carry his long-term interest over to the Manchester United job.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are almost certain to overhaul their defensive options this summer and the Everton prodigy has emerged as one of the most promising centre-halves in Europe.

Athletic Bilbao’s Aymeric Laporte – very much La Liga’s answer to John Stones – is also on Pep Guardiola’s transfer hit list.
