Expert: Man United have tabled offer to sign world-class midfielder

According to journalist Duncan Castles, Manchester United have made a ‘firm offer’ to re-sign former youngster Paul Pogba during the summer transfer window.

Since swapping Old Trafford for the Old Lady by way of a free transfer in 2012, the Juventus star has flourished into arguably the top midfielder in world football.

A combination of power, technique and goal threat has seen him become an intrinsic member of a Juventus squad that has claimed four Serie A titles throughout the France international’s tenure.

Writing in his column for One World Sports, Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castles claims the Italian champions are ready to cash in on the 23-year-old this summer, although they value him at a lofty £61million.

And Castles further alleges that Pogba has already received two ‘firm offers’ – one from PSG and another from former employers Manchester United.

Although failure to qualify for the Champions League could hinder their efforts in the transfer market, the Red Devils are reportedly desperate to sign a world-class entity this summer. Pogba would certainly fit that remit.
