Falcao’s Man United future in doubt as LVG plans showdown talks

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal and transfer chief Ed Woodward are set to discuss the future of loanee Radamel Falcao, according to reports from the Manchester Evening News.

The Colombian is currently on a season-long deal at Old Trafford from Monaco, but his future beyond the 38th game of the Premier League campaign remains in doubt.

United have insisted that they’re yet to make a final decision, but with just four goals to his name, the writing looks to be on the wall for Falcao, who will cost the club £43.5m to keep.

And now reports claim that LVG and Woodward are set to sit own and reach a verdict on the 29-year-old as they plan their summer business.

Van Gaal is expected to confirm that Falcao does not feature in his long-term plans, which was hinted at when he was forced to turn out for the Red Devils’ U-21 side last week.
