Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday as they put two consecutive defeats behind them to thrash champions Leicester City 4-1 at Old Trafford.

All of the Red Devils' goals came in 20 first-half minutes as Jose M0urinho's side ran riot to stun Claudio Ranieri's Foxes. Chris Smalling, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba all found themselves on the scoresheet, and the Old Trafford crowd would have been so relieved at the interval to see a glimpse of what they can expect under Mourinho moving forward.

Leicester managed to keep the score as it was in the second-half and had very small hopes of a comeback when Demarai Gray curled in an impressive consolation effort, but it just wasn't to be.

Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera were particularly impressive in the United midfield and they well and truly backed up claims that Wayne Rooney's first-team chances are dwindling fast.

It was a hugely impressive performance from Man United and here are five photos that sum it up perfectly...

Wayne looking on...

Wayne Rooney

All the pre-match talk was of Wayne Rooney's starting XI credentials and Jose Mourinho answered calls for the 30-year-old to be dropped by leaving him on the bench.

Rooney was forced to watch much of the game from the sidelines before coming on for Marcus Rashford in the 83rd minute.

Man United ran riot in his absence, which further fuels the argument that he is no longer the first name on the team sheet at Old Trafford.

Goal Machine

Rashford goal v Leicester

Marcus Rashford just can't stop scoring and he slid in to make it 3-0 for United, taking his United tally to 12 since his debut back in February.

Since that debut, Rashford has now scored more Premier League goals than Harry Kane, Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy.

Incredible form.

Worth the wait?

Manchester United v Leicester City - Premier League

It only took him six Premier League games, but Paul Pogba finally has a Premier League goal to his name.

The France international rose highest to nod in a Daley Blind corner from five-yards right at the end of the first-half...

The Dab lives...

And as expected, Pogba marked his first goal for United with his trademark Dab celebration. Obviously.

Zlatan

Zlatan had a quiet afternoon while the rest of his teammates got in on the action, and his most exciting moment of the game came when a lookalike got himself on the pitch for a photo opportunity with the Swede.

How many Zlatan lookalikes are there in the world!?
