It wouldn’t be a transfer window if a Manchester United star wasn’t in the middle of it all, and this summer that player is, predictably, Paul Pogba.
The club’s record signing has been tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer for the second time in his career, with the player himself admitting that he would like to embark on a new challenge elsewhere, per Daily Telegraph.
With signs pointing towards the exit door, Pogba’s romantic and sensational return to United could be over before it really got started but, speaking from an attacking perspective, which players will miss the midfielder the most if he departs this summer?
Despite sitting pretty at the top of the combined goal contribution list, it took Pogba and Anthony Martial until their second season together to combine to clinical effect, as Pogba provided the assist for his compatriot to complete a 4-0 rout against West Ham on the opening day of the 2017/18 season.
Since then, the duo have combined on a semi-regular basis.
Martial is one of the club’s most talented attacking players and, if his record alongside Pogba is anything to go by, it would certainly be a blow if the Frenchman leaves the club.

Another prodigious player possessing the potential to lead United’s front line for years to come is Marcus Rashford, who despite playing over 100 games alongside Pogba, is yet to really find a connection with the World Cup winner.
Six contributions is all that has been mustered up between the duo, which includes important goals against Tottenham and Chelsea last season – two massive results that hinted at Solskjaer’s credentials to turn things around at the club.
Jesse Lingard is a player who knows Pogba well as the two United academy products came through together at the club and played together in a FA Youth Cup winning side that also included the likes of Michael Keane and Ravel Morrison.
The duo reunited in the 2016/17 season and have since formed a decent connection on the pitch, which was sculpted during their years in the youth academy, with their most famous link up coming in a 3-1 win against Arsenal in the 2017/18 campaign, where Lingard infamously turned the Emirates into a dance floor.
Juan Mata has enjoyed a decent attacking relationship with the French midfielder, combining four times in total.
The pair linked up against Fenerbahce in a 4-1 win for the Reds en route to Europa League glory, as well as in triumphs against Middlesbrough and Fulham.
Pogba has managed to get some use out of the opinion-dividing Romelu Lukaku during his time at the club, but the fact they have combined to goal scoring effect just three times underlines how the club have struggled to get their star players to hit top form.
The duo combined in a 2-1 win against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League, as well as against Bournemouth in the Premier League on two separate occasions.
If Pogba remains in Manchester next season he should be aiming to get more out of the Belgium international.
