Unable to move for in the first season. Hojbjerg must be picked up at the soonest possible opportunity. The Dane is one of the most rounded players on the game, as he has been for years, and could make the perfect foil for Paul Pogba in midfield.

With the financial muscle United have, Hojbjerg is hardly going to be a challenge to acquire.

Emanuel Mammana

Like with many of the game’s best young players, you may have to wait until the second season to move for Mammana.

The greatest concern with the Lyon man is that injuries can damage his development. He has been a favourite on FM for a couple of editions of the game now and his ability to play out from the back could nicely complement Eric Bailly.

Ante Coric

For under £10million, your Manchester United save can be blessed with the presence of Ante Coric.

A tricky dribbler (17), Coric is most capable in an attacking midfield role. He may be worth signing and either loaning immediately out or leaving at Dinamo for a season or two, considering the depth of options Manchester United have at the 10 position.

Thiago Maia

An adept passer of the ball from the start of your save, Thiago Maia has to be under consideration.

Perhaps the perfect Michael Carrick replacement, Maia is a wonderfully balanced defensive midfielder who has sufficient determination to almost guarantee that he will reach his potential.

Antonio Sanabria

If you are looking for a young striker to backup Marcus Rashford long-term, Antonio Sanabria is your man.

Low work-rate, poor passing and technical stats are a concern for Sanabria, but an excellent first touch and finishing stat make him a clinical forward. Don’t ask too much of him and Sanabria can be a star.
