The 29-year-old is a key part of the PSG starting Xi, registering 237 appearances across all competitions since signing from Saint Etienne in summer 2011 and twice making it into the Ligue 1 Team of the Season.
He’s currently on international duty at Euro 2016, featuring in all five of France’s fixtures at the tournament thus far.
But according to Goal, the tough-tackling midfielder was given special permission by his country and PSG to leave Didier Deschamps’ training camp and fly to England – allegedly to hold transfer talks with an unnamed Premier League club.
Goal speculate Matuidi could be in talks with Manchester United – who were linked with the midfielder by Mirror Football alongside bitter rivals Manchester City back in September.
Intriguingly, Mirror Football reported that Matuidi wants to try a new challenge, such as the Premier League.
