According to reports from The Daily Mail, the representative of Arsenal and Manchester United target Ousmane Dembele has denied there’s an agreement in place to sign for Borussia Dortmund during the summer transfer window.
Since making his senior debut for Rennes in November, the teenage attacker has amassed twelve goals and five assists in 24 Ligue 1 appearances – propelling his side to seventh in the league table.
That has transfer attracted interest from a host of major clubs according to The Daily Mail, who claim the 18-year-old is wanted by Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Juventus.
Earlier this week, SportBild claimed that Borussia Dortmund had beaten the aforementioned clubs to Dembele’s signature, with a transfer deal set to go through during the summer.
But according to The Daily Mail, representative Badou Sambague has denied the reports from the German media, insisting the France U21 hasn’t agreed a move away from Roazhon Park with any club – including the Black-Yellows.
As quoted by the British tabloid, he told Foot Mercato; “I categorically deny any agreement with Borussia Dortmund or anyone. Ousmane is finishing his season. If there is a lot of speculation, about him or others, it’s still speculation.
“Journalists are doing their job, everyone does their job, but there is no agreement between Ousmane and another club for next season.”
