Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been heavily linked with the German international this season, following news of an incredibly cheap £20million release clause in his contract.
That’s not set to come into effect until the summer, with many tabloids alleging the Premier League’s interested parties would attempt to prize him away from Westfalen with a slightly more lucrative offer in January.
But as reported by the British newspaper, the 25 year-old, who has won two Bundesliga Player of the Year awards over the last three campaigns, has now reached an agreement with the La Liga giants, who will sign him next summer.
It follows prior reports that the winger-forward had recently taken up Spanish lessons.
Carlo Ancelotti has sanctioned a £20million bid for the summer, activating Reus buy-out fee, at which point the Dortmund talisman will sign a five-year deal.
With the Black-Yellows currently just a point off the bottom of the Bundesliga table amid a miraculous slump in form, it’s believed Mats Hummels and manager Jurgen Klopp could also follow Reus out of the exit door in the summer. Both have been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal.
