The nights are drawing in and the temperature is dropping… and what does that mean? It means the January transfer window is approaching, obviously!
It seems like only yesterday we were sifting through the stories the rumour mill hurled out on a daily basis and although the quantity of tales has reduced dramatically over the past six weeks, the momentum is slowly gathering once again.
And we’ve had a good double transfer scoop hit the headlines recently, with Manchester United supposedly interested in Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Seamus Coleman.
The Mirror deliver the update regarding the Irish right-back – who was a David Moyes target back in 2013 – while the slightly less reputable Daily Star claim Lukaku is also wanted, despite his woes under Jose Mourinho when they were both at Chelsea.
With these being big stories, there has been plenty of reaction on Twitter. Here are some of the best tweets…
Man united have been linked with Seamus Coleman and Romelu Lukaku. I hope this is true. Give Everton, Rooney in return. + cash.

A lot of the debate was generated by BBC Sport’s inclusion of the stories in their daily transfer gossip round-up…
