Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to reveal that they are happy about reports linking them with a move for Swansea forward Dan James.
The news is a surprise to say the least. The Welsh international is just about the finish his first season as a regular in the Swans’ first-team, having previously played at Premier League 2 level last season.
Will OGS still be in charge of Man Utd come next May? The Flying Pig discusses in the video below…
James has registered five goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Graham Potter’s side this term, and saw a deadline day move to Leeds fall through at the last hour in January – he is said to be valued at just £10m as his contract expires next summer.
Now, however, the Red Devils look set to beat Liverpool to the 21-year-old’s signature, a move that would probably be deemed as an underwhelming one for United in previous years.
Having said that, the fanbase of the 20-time Premier League champions on Twitter seem very happy that the club is targeting players of James’ ilk, instead of overpriced superstars…
Yes Please he is good. To bad nobody thinks that we should Sign players from a divison under. Said the same things about Maddison last year. Just look how that turned out.

This would be a very effective signing. Young, effective and will work his socks out and the boy has serious pace

It is an encouraging sign buying non expensive emerging talent

Yes. A good and fast player. We don’t need to buy superstars who are after wages, just look for hungry players that fit the system.

We should be looking at players like this, low profile and seriously rapid!!! Low wages, humble and not the finished article yet! Will probably put more heart on the pitch that Lukaku and Martial

Rather sign young hungry players than someone like pogba who can say the words and leave to go play for Real Madrid

Young, Welsh, left footed, comfortable on either wing and lightning quick, reminds me of someone!!!! I’d rather someone like this eager to impress in the Premier League than a money hungry half arsed player.

Exactly the type of player we want. If he was from our academy we’d all be screaming to play him. And for 10 million it’s about what it would have cost us develop him through the academy. One of those players we always ask, how come we didn’t try to buy him when he as cheap
