Fresh from spending close to £150m during the summer and smashing the world record transfer fee by sending £89m to Juventus for Paul Pogba, Manchester United are back in the gossip columns amid rumours they’re ready to spend big once again.
The names in question this time? Seamus Coleman and Romelu Lukaku of Everton. Indeed, the Mirror deliver the update regarding the Irish right-back – who was a David Moyes target back in 2013 – while the slightly less reputable Daily Star report that Lukaku is also wanted by Jose Mourinho.
Buying both in one window would almost certainly come at a cost – one would guess around the £100m mark – so it’s unlikely the ‘double raid’ being spoken of will come to the fore. But that’s not to say that there will be no movement at all, with both players clearly talented and able to address certain concerns at Old Trafford.
So which star is needed more? Lukaku or Coleman? Well, have your say below!
