Ian Holloway says it is unlikely Manchester United will allow Wilfried Zaha to return to Crystal Palace on loan for next season.
The English winger agreed to join the Premier League champions in January but was loaned back to the Eagles for the remainder of the season.
The decision to keep him at Selhurst Park for the Championship run-in proved to be a shrewd one as the 20-year-old stared in Palace’s play-off final win over Watford on Saturday, helping them recapture a place in the Premier League after an eight-year absence.
Having secured a spot in the top flight for next, season Palace co-owner Martin Long has admitted he would try to talk Man Utd into loaning Zaha back to Palace for next season.
However, Holloway doubts whether new United boss David Moyes would allow the home-grown prospect to return to London, especially after his impressive display at Wembley.
“As far as I am concerned David Moyes has a great player in his squad for next year – the rest is just speculation,” Holloway told Sky Sports News.
“I am just delighted for Wilf to end his Palace career the way he did yesterday and how everybody is talking about him.
“When are we going to admit how good someone is – he is only 20 – and he was the difference yesterday. He frightened them to death.”
