There are a few players in the Premier League that you would out a months’ wages on to score one-on-one… and one of those is Manchester United’s Robin van Persie. Although not the force he was in his Arsenal days, the Dutchman is excellent in front of goal, with composure and technique aplenty. However, he was not on it in the first half against Spurs, missing from three yards against Hugo Lloris a delicious Wayne Rooney through ball… HOW?!
It wasn’t United’s only chance either, with Spurs’ defence and Lloris himself having been in, frankly, excellent form.
