HYS: Does Alexis Sanchez still have a future with Manchester United?

When Manchester United prised Alexis Sanchez away from Arsenal in January 2018, they landed one of the hottest properties in the Premier League. Whilst the Chilean had made an indifferent start to that season, over the course of the previous couple of campaigns he had been a superstar for the Gunners.

Yet, since his arrival at Old Trafford, he has failed to produce anywhere near his finest form. Upon signing him, the Red Devils made Sanchez the highest paid player in the division, with a basic weekly wage of £350,000 according to Spotrac.

The 29-year-old is not living up to his extortionate salary at this time, which poses a major issue for the club. Already, whispers of an Old Trafford exit are surrounding Sanchez, as reported by The Times.

With Sanchez apparently unhappy at his new club, Jose Mourinho and the United hierarchy face a huge decision – stick with the attacker and hope he comes good or cut their losses now. In any case, Sanchez’s future and potential for success under Mourinho is far from certain.

What do you think, United fans – does Sanchez still have a future at the club?
