Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea’s poor run of form continued as his blunder allowed Marcos Alonso to score as the Red Devils drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The hosts were on course to move into the top four following Juan Mata’s opener against Maurizio Sarri’s men, but when De Gea spilled Antonio Rudiger’s long-range shot, Alonso reacted quickest and was on hand to level things up.
It was a costly error with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side now lying in sixth position with just two Premier League fixtures remaining, and missing out on Champions League qualification is a real possibility right now.
