Incoming Chelsea boss pulls out of £50m race in huge boost for Man United

Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their reported chasing of England international John Stones, according to the Daily Star.

Over the course of last summer, Chelsea tried and failed to lure the 21-year old to West London after making multiple bids.and were thought to have retained an interest.

However, the report claims the Blues have pulled out of the race to land him and have turned their attentions to Juventus stalwart Leonardo Bonucci.

The man widely expected to takeover as the club’s new manager, Antonio Conte, has worked with the Italian with both club and country.

As a result, they suggest the door is now open to United in the battle to land Stones this summer.
