Incoming Man United boss to be given £200m for transfer overhaul

Incoming Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will be given a massive £200million to spend during the summer transfer window, according to reports from the Mirror.

Mourinho is close to completing the deal that will see him become Man United manager following the club’s decision to let go of Louis van Gaal, despite the Dutchman having another year on his current contract.

Van Gaal’s fate was sealed when United were unable to qualify for the Champions League as they finished 5th in the table, with an FA Cup trophy not enough to keep him in the job.

Mourinho will not be wasting any time, and is already targeting players to bring in over the course of the summer.

The former Chelsea manager has his sights set on the likes of Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Borussia Dortmund ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and will have £200million to use in an attempt to lure them, and others, to Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic’s transfer is, however, more likely, as the Sweden international is a free agent this summer and has previously worked under Mourinho at Inter Milan.
