Leaked images of football shirts for next season are commonplace nowadays. Most of these turn out to be fakes or prototypes as teams and companies weigh up what to put on the star players for next campaign, and Manchester United are now the latest side to be in such a story. Images of an Adidas effort are circling Twitter right now, with some suggesting that this is what the club will be wearing later this year.
It’s known that the Red Devils will end their 13-year association with Nike at the end of the season to switch to the German sportswear giant, but the £70m-per-year deal will come at a cost… with the shirt being atrocious. Bizarre mesh under the arms and a 90s looking three stripe incorporated onto it look a little tacky, while complicated stripes on the neck and cuffs give a slightly messy appearance.
Naturally, opinion is divided…
