Is this the moment that proves United ace isn’t worth a permanent deal?

It seems that even the most fearsome strikers in world football have their off-days.

After years of banging in goal after goal for Porto, Atletico Madrid and Monaco, Manchester United striker showed that he’s human after all against West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday by missing this sitter with his side 1-0 down and chasing an equaliser.

Although on-loan Falcao’s United career hasn’t been a disaster, the Colombian hasn’t been scoring as many goals as Red Devils fans would have liked, and this miss will serve only to increase calls for skipper Wayne Rooney to be reinstated up front, having started the game against the Hammers in midfield.

Unless Falcao can rediscover his lethal goalscoring touch in the final months of United’s season, it is hard to see the Old Trafford side making the expensive striker’s deal a permanent one once his loan comes to an end. The 28 year-old has it all to do.
