Italian giants Juventus have targeted Radamel Falcao as their next big-name signing, believing that the Colombian hitman – currently on loan at Manchester United from French side Monaco – will not be signing a permanent deal at Old Trafford.
The Serie A champions were believed to be interested in Falcao last summer until United pipped them to his signature, and while the English side were also prepared to fork out £46 million to make the deal permanent upon completion of the loan spell, the 28 year-old’s struggles means that the Red Devils now have cold feet.
Falcao has been blighted by injury problems since his arrival at Old Trafford and has netted just three times in 15 appearances.
This has led to Juventus reviving their interest in the player, and if United do indeed decide not to sign Falcao in the summer, the Turin outfit will surely emerge as favourites to swoop in for the striker.
