Zlatan Ibrahimovic has brought his talents to the Premier League but, so far at least, the ridiculous comments he comes out with to big himself up haven’t followed him to these shores- but there is plenty of time for that to change.
The conduct off the field from the Swede has been superb and has impressed Manchester United colleague Phil Jones, with the England international praising his new team-mate and insisting that the former Paris Saint-Germain star does not have an ego.
Speaking to The Daily Mirror, Jones was pretty frank when asked about Ibrahimovic’s alleged ego.
“He’s not like that at all. Maybe people see that from the outside, but we don’t see that at all. He’s a great lad off the pitch and he helps the young lads out. They look up to him and you can see today how well he’s done.”
Featuring in all but one of Manchester United’s Premier League games so far this season, Ibrahimovic has netted 11 goals in his 16 appearances and has helped Jose Mourinho’s side contend for a spot in the top-four once again.
