Juve open to Man United swap for star man

Manchester United will be free to snap up Juventus’ Arturo Vidal if they let Javier Hernandez and Nani head in the opposite direction, according to reports from The Metro.

The Red Devils are understood to have made the Chilean midfielder their top target for the remainder of the summer, as Louis van Gaal sets about adding more energy to his midfield.

Negotiations between Juve and United are understood to have been bubbling away for the past few weeks, with some rumours even suggesting that the player himself has agreed a £200,000-per-week+ contract at Old Trafford.

The Old Lady have always been adamant in public that their box-to-box star is going nowhere, but after talks with the 27-year-old they are thought to be resigned top losing him.

But they want a hefty cash payment – likely to be over £30m – as well as Hernandez and Nani.

The latter has been a target for Juve for some time, while the former is said to be ready to quit United in search of regular football.

The Turin giants want them both for next season as they plot to land a fourth successive Serie A title.

Van Gaal is likely to sanction such a deal, even though Kevin Strootman is on his radar.
