Keeping LVG may cost Man United marquee summer transfer

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will reject any summer approach from Manchester United if Louis van Gaal remains in charge of the club for next season, according to reports from The Telegraph.

The iconic Sweden international, 34, is set to be a free agent in a few months’ time when his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires, and talk surrounding a swansong in the Premier League has been doing the rounds of late.

Man United have been aligned with ‘Ibra’ and are one of the few teams that could come close to the soon-to-be-free-agent’s lofty wage demands – thought to be around £600,000-per-week – but reports claim that they’ll be out of the running if they keep Van Gaal.

The Dutchman and Ibrahimovic fell out during their time together at Ajax and it’s understood that the player still harbours a grudge despite 10 years having passed.

It’s thought that the experienced forward will give a proposal from the club thought if Jose Mourinho succeeds LVG, but there is some doubt about the Portuguese tactician heading to the Theatre of Dreams with reports suggesting that the current Man United gaffer will be kept on.
