Lennon concedes Celtic ace may move on

Fraser Forster (Celtic)Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confessed that he believes that Manchester United target Fraser Forster will leave the club in the not too distant future.

The Bhoys stopper has been in excellent form of late, and was even a part of England’s squad for their recent World Cup qualification clashes with Poland and Montenegro.

His fine domestic performances and emergence on the international scene has seen interest in his signature grow, with United thought to be near the front of the queue.

Red Devils chief David Moyes is said to be ready to lodge a £6m offer for the ‘keeper, who he believes can provide a good level of competition for current number one David de Gea.

Although he wants to keep the 25-year-old at Celtic, Lennon is aware that the SPL giants may be unable to fend off interest from bigger sides:

“It’s going to be impossible to keep Fraser, the way he’s playing,” he is quoted by The Metro.

“Inevitably, I think a huge club will come in and make a huge bid for him.

“Sometimes it is frustrating as a manager, as you are trying to build something, trying to progress the club, but I think it is a huge compliment that big clubs want out players.”
