Manchester United star Memphis Depay has been in discussions with manager Louis van Gaal over his role at the club heading into the future following a huge decline in form, The Sun reports.
The 22-year-old completed a £25m move to Old Trafford during the last summer window, but has been unable to replicate the form which saw him shine at former side PSV Eindhoven.
He was also criticised for his flashy lifestyle following the move from the Netherlands, but assistant manager Ryan Giggs is said to have been helping him adapt to English football.
Following initial huge expectations, Depay eventually lost his place in the starting XI and has since struggled when given starting opportunities.
Van Gaal is ready to give him more time to prove his worth, but is already urging the winger to showcase his talents before his future at the club is thrown into further doubt.
He has already featured 41 times in all competitions for his side this term, mostly as a substitute, so far scoring seven goals while providing another six assists.
