Man United boss keen on World Cup star reunion

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is ready to revive his interest in Bruno Martins Indi before the transfer window closes, according to reports from Record.

The Dutchman managed the powerful centre-back during the Netherlands’ impressive World Cup campaign, and was subsequently linked with moves for him after the competition finished.

Martins Indi them elected to join Porto from Feyenoord, yet reports now claim that LVG is already eyeing a swoop for the 22-year-old.

The centre-back has been a key man for Porto so far this season, helping the Estadio do Dragao outfit into second spot in the Primera Liga.

But Louis van Gaal is desperate to land him as he plots to bolster his shaky Old Trafford backline, and it’s claimed that the player himself is keen to reunite with his former international manager.

Mats Hummels remains a target, with LVG keen to snap him and Kevin Strootman up at the end of the season.
