Jose Mourinho has told Bastian Schweinsteiger to find a new club before the close of the transfer window and will force the midfielder to train with Manchester United‘s U-21s until then, according to reports from Bild.
The 32-year-old German, who recently retired from international football, was one of Louis van Gaal’s big name signings last year, but the veteran ex-Bayern Munich ace failed to make any sort of impact across 2015/16.
And now his time at Old Trafford appears to be coming to an end, with reports claiming Mourinho has no interest in keeping ‘Schweini’.
It’s understood that ‘The Special One’ has told the player to find himself a new club before the end of the current transfer window, and that until he does he will not be involved with the first-team.
Schweinsteiger will instead be training with the U-21s, as Victor Valdes was forced to by LVG last season.
There is interest in the experienced World Cup winner with Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan keen.
