Man United chasing Bundesliga winner

Manchester United are considering a summer move for Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan, according to reports from Sport Bild.

The Germany international has endured an injury hit couple of years, but has returned to BVB’s first-team this term and looks to be nearing full fitness.

However, his future at the Westfalenstadion is unclear, with reports indicating that he’s ready to consider a move away from the club when the season ends.

This has alerted United chief Louis van Gaal, who is likely to dip back into the transfer market this summer, despite spending over £150m last year.

The Dutchman has already spoken of a desire to add creativity to his central ranks, making Gundogan an option, thanks to his range of passing.

The 24-year-old has been a key player for Dortmund for some time and played a big role in the Bundesliga success in 2012 and appearance in the Champions League Final the following season – he netted in the Wembley game.
