Man United clear to re-sign Ronaldo

Manchester United could complete a stunning move to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez considering offloading the Ballon d’Or holder, according to the Daily Star.

The Portuguese player has been named the planet’s best footballer two years running and has been lauded for his sensational athleticism and scoring record – he’s scored over 200 times in 185 Los Blancos outings.

United were linked with the 30-year-old last year, but ultimately a deal failed to come to fruition as Real opted to keep their man.

But now reports claim that Perez’s stance has changed, with the Bernabeu chief keen to cash in as Ronaldo enters the back end of his career.

The news may come as a massive boost to the Premier League giants, who are believed to be looking to sign marquee players to kick start a new era of success.
