Man United closing in on £19.3m addition, player has agreed terms

Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Lazio’s Lucas Biglia, who has already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, according to reports from De Standaard.

The Argentina international has been aligned with the Old Trafford outfit for much of the summer, and it seems that a switch may be edging closer.

Reports claim that United are desperate to lure the playmaker to England and have settled personal terms with him.

Although Biglia himself is eager to make the move, Lazio are reluctant to sell unless they receive a fee of just under £29m.

However, the Rome side may be willing to lower their demands as the saga rumbles on.

United are understood to be ready to part with around £19.3m for the playmaker, but it’s unlikely that a deal will be reached until next week at the earliest.

Biglia was recently named as the Italian side’s captain and shone for the club last term as they finished third in Serie A, thus qualifying for the Champions League play-off qualifiers.
