Man United considering Spurs boss as LVG replacement

Manchester United are considering Spurs‘ Mauricio Pochettino as they line up potential summer replacements for Louis van Gaal, according to BBC presenter Dan Walker.

The Red Devils’ Dutch boss has come under vast levels of criticism this season for the perceived brand of ‘dull’ football he’s brought.

Although United remain in the hunt for a top four finish, Van Gaal’s position has been unsteady at best, with reports on a weekly basis suggesting that the club may opt to part company with him this summer.

And now BBC presenter, Walker, has claimed that “three knowledgeable individuals” have suggested that Pochettino is an option for the Manchester giants going forward.

He tweeted: “In the past 72 hours three knowledgeable individuals have suggested Pochettino to Old Trafford for next season! Interesting.”

Pochettino is considered to be one of the finest managers in English football right now, with the Argentine having transformed his Lilywhites side into genuine title contenders in just over 18 months at the club.

However, United may end up disappointed, with reports having already claimed that the ex-Southampton boss is not interested in leaving Spurs for any side other than Barcelona or Real Madrid.
